It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Hairr of Harrells, North Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Baker and Janie Baker; her husband Arnold Hairr; her son Ronnie Barnes; and her brothers, David Baker and Terry Baker.

She is survived by: her children, Paula Barnes Smith of Elizabethtown, NC and Paul Williams Barnes, Jr. (Denise) of Mooresville, NC; her sister Kay Baker Strickland (Roger) of Elizabethtown, NC; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith of Elizabethtown, NC, Dalton Smith (Krishna) of Garland, NC, Ethan Barnes of Charleston, SC, Grayson Barnes Cross (Zach) of Tucker, GA, Cameron Barnes of Mooresville, NC, Ronnie Barnes II of Elizabethtown, NC, McKinley and Scarlett Barnes of Elizabethtown, NC; and her great grandchildren, Aubree of Garland, NC., Addy of Garland, NC. and Waylon Smith of Garland, NC..
