We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2021, at the age of 92, Johnnie Powell of Harrells, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Della; his son Russell C. Smith; and his sister Elizabeth Naylor. He is survived by: his children, Betty Grey Wilson (Dural) of Turkey, Mary Powell (Joe) of Watha, Johnnie Ray Powell of Harrells, Jimmy Lee Powell (Loretta) of Harrells, William Ashley Powell of Harrells and Charles Glenn Powell (Karen) of Harrells; his sisters-in-law, Maxine Cashwell of Elizabethtown and Margie Mathews of Hope Mills; and his niece Janet Jagunic (Larry). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
