Idella Powell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Idella Powell of Harrells, North Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dexter and Mae Ruth Culbreth Smith; her son Russell C. Smith; her siblings, Doris Smith, Audrey Smith, Onlee Tatum, Forris Smith and Eddis Smith; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth "Lizzie" Naylor.
She is survived by: her husband Johnnie A. Powell; her children, Betty Grey Wilson (Dural) of Turkey, Mary Powell (Joe) of Watha, Johnnie Ray Powell of Harrells, Jimmy Lee Powell (Loretta) of Harrells, William Ashley Powell of Harrells and Charles Glenn Powell (Karen) of Harrells; and her sisters, Maxine Cashwell of Elizabethtown and Margie Mathews of Hope Mills. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Baptist Church, 7954 Garland Hwy. Harrells, NC 28444 Royal Hall is honored to serve the Powell Family.
