He was predeceased by: his parent Richard S. Evans; and his wife Susie A. Evans. He is survived by: his parent Bessie Long Evans; and his daughters, Karen Merritt of Garland, Patricia Evans of Harrells and Anita Taylor of Raleigh. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
