She was predeceased by: her father Raymond Murphy; and her husband Jessie G. Highsmith. She is survived by: her children, Addie J. Herring of Garland, Juanita Newkirk (Luther) of Harrells, Vivian Highsmith of Harrells, Brenda Highsmith of Garland, Jean Highsmith of Harrells, Anese Gibbs of Garland, Willie G. Highsmith (Liza) of Garland, Floyd Highsmith (Elaine) of Garland, Harold Highsmith of Clinton, Glenn Highsmith of Harrells, Archie Highsmith (Denise) of Durham, Samuel Highsmith of Teaneck, NJ and Jeffery Highsmith of Garland; and her sister Marie Henry. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
