William S. Brooks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William S. Brooks in Harmony, North Carolina, born in Florence, Alabama, who passed away on August 30, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Mozel Brooks and Margaret Marie Cromwell Brooks; and his former wife Nancy Ann Walker Brooks. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Savannah, Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, Antofagasta, Chile, Gary and Nome; his wife Barbara Walters; his daughters, Barbara "Babs" Umenhofer (Larry) and Kathryn Elizabeth "Beth" Brooks (Steve Beasley); his grandchildren, Kyle Kendall (Jessica), Kelby Kendall (Kori Sergent), Lance Umenhofer (Robyn Leigh Lear) and Sydney Umenhofer; his great grandchild Kinslee Kendall; and his sister Ruth Brooks Barker (Hudson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In order to ensure the safety of our community, face masks are required at the memorial service. Anyone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to refrain from attending.
