It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth McQueen Self of Harmony, North Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carl and Beulah Mae Jenkins McQueen; and her daughter Beverly S. Hedrick. She is survived by: her children, Billy Self of Statesville and Janice Self of Greensboro; her grandson Travis Hedrick (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Ryder of Statesville, Tanner Hedrick (Julie) of Chapel Hill and Maddie S. Blaire (Jacob) of Statesville; and her son-in-law Ed Hedrick of Harmony. She is also survived by five siblings.
The family will speak with friends following the services at the grave site following social distancing and mask protocols.
