He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Stanley and Annie Goad Stanley; his wife Phillis Dillard Stanley; and his siblings, Paul, Calvin, Grady, Margaret and Patsy.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Rita Sturdivant; his children, Jerry Stanley, William Stanley (Thess) of Statesville and Rebecca Stanley Baker (Michael) of Little River, SC.; his grandsons, Allen, Adam, Miles and Dylan; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Alaura, Katara and Kya.
