It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Noel Alvin Barney Sr. of Harmony, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barney and Evelyn Barney; his wife Sylvia Barney; and his sister Ruth Barney. He is survived by: his children, Noel Alvin Barney, Jr. (Carey) of Hamptonville, Daniel Adam Barney of Hamptonville, Jesse Thomas Barney of Cooleemee and Sandy McIntyre (Gerald) of Advance; his grandchildren, Audrey McIntyre (Christopher Hundley), Madeline McIntyre, Aaron McIntrye, Jake Barney and Calton Barney; and his sisters, Linda Kyles (Hubert) of Woodleaf and Dena Phelps (Charlie) of Cooleemee.
