With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melda Johnson Showfety of Harmony, North Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Greeley Dexter Johnson and Effie Mae Dobson Johnson; her husband David Showfety; and her siblings, Jack Johnson, Allen Johnson, Margie Hedrick and Jane Pierce.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Ramona Johnson, Robert Pierce and Chris Showfety (Rita). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
