He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Preston Barker and Beulah Souther Barker; his former wife Charlotte McGlamery Barker; his sisters, Mamie Nicholson and Ethel Kirkland; and his nephews, Dean Nicholson and Jonathan Morrison.
He is survived by: his wife Veleda Cumby Barker; his children, Lisa Cumby (Virgil), AnnDee Barker of Harmony, Phillip Barker of Harmony and Joseph Barker (Jamie) of Union Grove; his grandchildren, Maghon Redman (Johnny), Kirsten Barker, Devin Barker, Jaya Barker and Joleigh Barker; his great grandchild Remington Redman; his sister Ann Barker Morrison; his niece Carolyn Sherrill (Todd); and his nephew Jeff Kirkland. He is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
