He was predeceased by: his parents, D. D. Mason and Marie Patterson Mason; the mother of his children Claudia Santorum Mason; his spouse TJ Bailey Mason; his sister Sue Ostwalt (David); his grandson Sgt. Richard Leighton Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Peppers and Larry Connolly.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Patrick Mason, Timothy Andrew Mason, Ursula Marie Mason and Elizabeth Mason Smith (Paul Richard Smith); his grandchildren, Sydney Blair Turner (Jordan) and Alexander Smith; his great grandchild Sailor McClelland; his sisters, Lillie Marie Peppers, Saleta Connolly and Rita Leazer (Warren); his sister-in-law Candy Gibson; his nieces, Toria Terwilliger and Makenna Terwilliger; and his nephew Jesse Ostwalt. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
