He is survived by: his children, Eddie Carter, Beverly Wadelington, John Dearmon, Janice Carter Hester (Rudy), Jeanette Carter, Richard Carter (Carla) and Jerry Carter (Missy); his siblings, Jay Rudd (Carline), Henry Carter (Silvia), Norris Carter (Ruth) and Beatrice Hopkins; and his sister-in-law Ella Mae Carter. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
