He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Howell; and his siblings, Harley, Kenneth Howell, Coleen Dull and Maxine Hodgson.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Howell; his daughters, Donna Goodin (Tim) and Tammy Elmore (Todd); his grandchildren, Kayla Shook (Cody), Matthew Goodin (Ashley), Brandon Goodin (Katie), Nathan, Kenley and Chance Elmore; his great grandchildren, Cason, Cade Shook, Clay and Dawson Goodin; his brother Gary Howell (Glenda); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Howell, Julia Howell, Leonard Jones (Mary Nell), Dallas Jones (Connie), Nelson Jones (Jane) and David Jones (Ruthie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Fairview Baptist Church at 349 Turnersburg Hwy, Statesville, NC 28625.
