She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Jones Gooden and Mary Ester Cook Gooden; her husband Harry Charles Hix; her son Charles Ray Hix; and her brother Kenneth Gooden.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Hix (Vivian) of Harmony, Keith Hix (Sharon) of Raleigh, Kay Wood of Belmont, NC, Martha Hix of Winston Salem and Nancy Moore (Terry) of Mooresville; her brother Ronald Gooden (Mary Ruth) of Turnersburg; and her sister-in-law Wilma W. Gooden of Statesville.
