He was predeceased by: his parents, William Garfield Russell and Rena Kate Harrington Russell. He is survived by: his wife Betty French Russell; his daughters, Jennifer Russell Bates (David) of Greensboro and Sara Russell Sweet (Kin) of Suwanee, GA; his brother William "Buddy" Bryant Russell (Nancy) of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren, Catherine "Catie" Fredrickson (Sheldon), Shayla Bednar (Kevin), Barrington Lee (Sophie), Sullivan Sweet and Emma Whitlock; his great grandchildren, Banks Fredrickson, Ford Fredrickson and Akira Lee; his nephew William Bryant Russell, Jr. (Cynthia); and his niece Elizabeth Russell Parker (Joey).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
