She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Bost; her son William "Billy" Harold Bost, Jr.; her parents, Zeb Wright Payne and Lillian Pearl Carpenter Payne; and her siblings, Becky Hill, Rachel VanPelt, Ruby Lee Payne, Alene Gaston, Jeanette Payne, Fred Payne, Ernest Payne, Yates Payne and Troy Payne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim McGee of Harkers Island and Kelly Wagner of Michigan; her sister Betty Sue Cline of Concord; her daughter-in-law Dejohna Bost; her grandchildren, Brandon Guthrie (Gena, Sarah Rivenbark), Katherine Epstein (Mark, Ben Wagner), Will Bost and Macon Russell; and her great grandchildren, Memphis Rivenbark, Brady Epstein, Jake Epstein and Quinn Epstein.
Through her lifetime, Gail worked in the Johnston County School System, the Carteret County Public Library and was a CNA to Alzheimer's patients.
