He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Guthrie; his parents, Andrew Guthrie and Edith Guthrie; and his brother William "Bill" Guthrie. He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Franco (Gerald) and Maria Guthrie (Jack); his brothers, Andrew B. Guthrie (Marina) and Sherman Guthrie; his grandchildren, Caroline Franco, Carlos Franco and Leandra Sumrell (Cody); and his great grandchild Sydney Sumrell.
