He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Louise Scott; his parents, French Odell and Lula May Scott; and his siblings, Louvenia Chapman, Dennis Scott, Everette Scott, Ravenell Scott, Deuy Scott, Jr. and Ronnie Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Marek of Albemarle, Jean Gower of Angier, Barbara Baker (Bernice) of Garner, Thomas H. Scott (Cynthia) of Garner and Harvey D. Scott, Jr. (Debra) of Youngsville; and his brother John Scott of Mansfield, OH. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
