He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy; his grandmother Brawley Cummings; and his brothers, Joseph Wayne Cummings and Robert Grey Cummings. He is survived by: his father W. P. (Bill); his wife Janie Cummings (Emily Jane); his children, William Cummings Jr. (Bill), Karen Leigh Davis (Matt) and Robert (Rob) Cummings (Crystal); his grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah, Emma Kate, Peyton, Joey and Adalynn Jane; his sister Elizabeth White; and his family Corvette.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (2616 Buck Shoals Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clemmons Presbyterian Church (3930 Clemmons Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012).
