She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Franklin and Elma Carmelee Aldridge Ellis; and her siblings, Frances Coffey, Tom and Jack Ellis.
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Junior Welch; her daughters, Melissa Welch Pinnix (Roger Pinnix, Jr.) of Kernersville, NC and Sonia Welch Shelton (Greg Shelton) of Senoia, GA; her brother Terry Ellis of Zionville; her grandchildren, Marissa Shelton of Senoia, GA and Tyler Pinnix (Elizabeth) of Clemmons, NC; and her great grandchild Carson Pinnix.
