It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otto Donald Somers of Hamptonville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Somers and Mallie Souther Somers; his wife Cledus Coleman Somers; his son-in-law Michael Gregory; his brother Max Gene Somers; and his siblings-in-law, Gearldean Cook, Dorothy Prevette, Ruth Gaither, Irene Coleman, Clifford Cook, Edward Coleman, Mickey Gaither and Worth Little.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Somers Shore (Jeff), Linda Somers Gregory of Hamptonville and Phil Somers of Hamptonville; his grandchildren, Lindsey Gregory Roberts (James), Steven Gregory (Jodie) and Jake Shore (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Maddox Roberts, Easton Roberts, Linley Roberts, Alex Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Miles Roberts, Violete Shore and Tatum Gregory; his sister Rachel Byers (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Coleman, Paulette Osborne Diane Little (Jerry), Don Prevette, Roger Coleman and Paul Coleman (Priscilla).
