She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Lewis of Washington and Nannie Neil Carson Lewis; her husband Elmore Rose; her son Glenn Edward Rose; her great grandchild Amya McHenry; and her siblings, Carson Lewis, Clyde "Bruh" Lewis, Hassel Lewis, Tony Lewis, Clois "Soote" Lewis, Emma Studevent and Gywnolyn Ikard.
She is survived by: her children, Phylis Steelman, Wanda Carter (Melvin), Priscilla Cockerham, Tanja Bellamy and Sandra Imes; her sisters, Faye Ann Porter and Barbara Jean Lewis; and her grandchildren, Keith Steelman (Terry), Charity Graves, Chad Carter, Channing Rose, Wyashia Hoover (Chris), Tremaine Rose, Tecko Rose, Chasity Rose, William Cockerham (Alesia), Christie Rucker, Christopher Rucker and Damein Black. She is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
