She was predeceased by: her parents, James Eli and Lala Bare Shoemaker; her husband James Alfred Teague; her son Keith Wood; and her brother Jackie Bare.
She is survived by: her daughter Anita Watson of Hamptonville; her grandchildren, Josh Sales (Stephanie) of Deep Gap, Kayla Millsaps (Cameron) of North Wilkesboro, Hope Carter (Cory) of South Carolina, Christian Sales (Jessica) of Charlotte, Brandon Wood (Katy Shumate) of Alabama and Haley Watson (Matt Carlton) of Charlotte; her stepdaughter Susan "Pepper" Teague; her son Luke of North Wilkesboro; and her siblings, Mildred Pardue of Clingman, Barbara Spears (Roger) of Laurel Springs, Carolyn Anderson (Gurney) of Hays, DeGaya Byrd (David) of Clingman and Billy Bare (Pauline) of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
