He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles King and DeEtte Riley King; and his siblings, Evaline, Jimmy, Mary Lou, Patsy and Archie.
He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan King (Angie) and Stephen King (Tamara); his wife Shirley Cox King; his granddaughter Kendra (Brandon); his brothers, Leo King (Katie) and Jack King; and his friend Ronnie Swaim. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, a great number of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Mountain View Baptist Church Youth Fund, 1232 Mountain View Church Road, Hamptonville, NC 27020.
