He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Woodrow Thompson and Loretha "Jack" Sparks Thompson; and his siblings, Audrey Thompson and Jim Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Anna Swisher Thompson; his children, Darrell Thompson (Shannon), Regina Dewitt (Wayne) and Doyle Thompson (Paula); his stepson Harold Swisher (Deanna); his grandchildren, Chaise Swisher (Kimberly), T. R. Thompson (Sophia), Jeremy Thompson, Kaitlyn Thompson (Zack Wood), Johnathan Dewitt (Misti), Amber Dewitt and Danyelle Thompson; and his siblings, Jennifer Trivette (Bob) and John Thompson (Louise).
