He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Wilson Simmons and Pearl McCoin Simmons; and his wife Judy Harris Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Simmons, Wesley Simmons (Holly) and Jason Simmons; his stepson Michael Groce; his grandchildren, Hunter Simmons and Jaclyn Simmons; his stepgrandchildren, Cale Groce and Cody Groce; his stepgreat-grandson Cayden Groce; and his sister Louise Haynes.
