She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Wesley and Lula Emily Wood Simpson; her husband Bobby G. Brooks; and her siblings, Raymond William Simpson, Wayne Simpson, Troy Simpson, Harry Franklin Simpson and Mary Ruth Kimmer.
She is survived by: her son Andrew Brooks; her siblings, Deborah Whitt and Homer Lee Simpson; and also, Joyce, Bryson and Ayden Helton.
