He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gudger DeHart, Sr. and Elsie Virginia Widener DeHart; his stepgranddaughter Christine Ann Lawson; and his brother William Gudger DeHart, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patty Lee Long DeHart; his stepson Jeffrey Dean Lawson; his stepgrandson Taylor Dean Lawson; his brother James Odell DeHart (Jean); and his brother-in-law Terry Long (Teresa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
