He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Evans and Lucy Wagoner Evans; his granddaughter Jennifer Elgabrowny; his brother Edward Evans (Doris); and his son-in-law Steve Caudill.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Layell Evans; his children, Lynn Caudill, Ellen Tulbert (Keith) and Jason Evans (Lauren); his grandchildren, Josh Tulbert (Traci Balance), Julie Tulbert (Caleb Bowers) and Kaitlin Evans; his great grandchildren, Bobbi Elgabrowny and Ibi Elgabrowny; his sister Martha Matthews; his grandson-in-law Taurik Elgabrowny; and his brother-in-law Joe Layell (Betty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
