Eugene Mathis Myers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Mathis Myers (Hamptonville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Myers (Sam) and Lena Mitchell Myers; his brother S. T. Myers (N. C.); his wife Marie Hutchens Myers; and his nephew Dennis Myers.
He is survived by: his sons, Benny Myers and Richard Myers; his children-in-law, Kim and Pam; his grandchildren, Dr. Ashley Myers Morrison (Ed), Taylor Myers (Houston Myers) and Matthew Myers (Hunter Myers); his close friend Peggy Casstevens; and also, Jack, Paige, Sam, Nolan, Axel, Ryker and Braylee. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville (5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (8087 Windsor Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020). A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Fund.
