He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Rhodes and Anna Lou Grogan Rhodes; and his siblings, Lucille Yancy, Robert Allen, Buck Davis and Nathan Rhodes.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Hutchens Rhodes; his daughter Sandy Hunt (Chris); his stepchildren, Deborah Cook (Earl), Janet Webb (Kenny), William Byers (Michelle) and Lisa Jones (Marty); and his siblings, Marie Christy Allman (Lee), Janelle Allen and David Rhodes (Patricia). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
