She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Graham Hanes and Eulah Lee Wood Hanes; her husband Charles Davis Evans; and her siblings, Windell Hanes, Bobby Hanes and Rose Emma Hanes Baugess.
She is survived by: her children, Renae Cheek (Randy) and Tony Evans (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jennifer Elizabeth Cheek (Tim Lanning) and Blake Harrison Cheek (Mallory); her great grandchild Hudson Beau Cheek; and her brother Roger Dale Hanes (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Swaims Baptist Church (3919 Swaims Church Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Swaims Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Evans.
