It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Rowena Jacobs of Hampstead, North Carolina, born in New Cambria, Missouri, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Jacobs and Bonnie Jacobs; her children, Robert Carter and Robin Hurd; and her siblings, Betty Jacobs and Alvin Jacobs.

She is survived by: her siblings, Dean Jacobs (Peggy) and June Jacobs. She is also survived by two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
