He was predeceased by: his mother Kay Marie Smart Batts; his uncles, Devane Smart and Chauncey Batts; his aunt Jackie Lea; and his grandparents, Bob, Starlene Smart, Blaney and Opal Batts.
He is survived by: his father Charles Luther Batts; his brother Chuck Batts (Kelly); his nieces and nephews, Brooke, Jack and Klaire; and his uncle Blaney "Boo" Batts (Carol).
