He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Shafran and Irene Shafran. He is survived by: his wife Betty Shafran; his children, Michael Shafran (Julie), Laura Bingham (Daniel), Scott Shafran (Hannah) and Julie Kozarovich (Daniel); his grandchildren, Michael Shafran (Cara), Anna Shafran, William Shafran, Emma Shafran, Brent Shafran, Eli Shafran, Anya Shafran, Ethan Shafran, Calvin Shafran, Azariah Kozarovich, Judson Kozarovich, Mitchell Kozarovich and Donnie Kozarovich; and his siblings, Richard Shafran, Loretta Kuhn and Stephen Shafran. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (406 Ocean Hwy, Holly Ridge, NC 28445). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
