With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Katherine Shamp of Hampstead, North Carolina, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on February 14, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clara L. Wagner and Ernest J. Wagner; her husband David Shamp; her children, Lynn Norwood (Charley), Tom Shamp (Barbara) and Anne Shamp; her grandchildren, Katie Shamp (Tim) and Douglas Shamp; her nieces, Carol Agayoff and Beth Canter (Rick); her great-nephew Jeffrey; her niece Kim Huffman (George); her great-niece Elaine Shapiro (Brad); her nephew Rick Shamp (Beth); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Chase and Megan; her sister-in-law Mary Staas; her nephew John Wagner (Gill); her great-nephews, Tom and Joe; her nephew James Wagner; her great-nephew David; her great-niece Sarah; her nephew Rob Wagner; her great-nephew Colin; her niece Nina Hoppes (Rick); her great-nephew Alec Hoppes (Erica); her great-niece Abby Rose (Harrison); her nephew Peter Wagner (Jackie); her great-niece Alyssa; her nephew Matt Wagner (Anne); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Raphael, Eamon and Elizabeth Wagner.
In March 2020, she moved out of Champions to avoid the covid lockdown.
