With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin Dale Garvey of Hampstead, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 65. In the sacred silence of farewell, Marvin Dale is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his father Thurman "Pete" Garvey. He is survived by: his nephew James Garvey; his sons, Nathan and Jamie (Santana); his grandchild Jameson Fulp; and his siblings, Kenneth (Rebecca) and Julia Hinnet (Carlton).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Topsail Baptist Church (18885 US Hwy 17N, Hampstead, NC 28443). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28541).
