He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Jones and Mary Jones; his brothers, Clifton Jones and David Jones; and his grandsons, Tanner Earl Jones and Jason Wayne Cherry.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Mae Smith Jones; his children, Jeffrey Earl Jones (Becky Borneman), Melissa Jones Henderson (Hal Nicholson) and Shirley Ann Cherry; his siblings, Mary "Liz" Spearman, Edith Jones, Christine Carr (Joe) and Elmer Hunt (Dianne); his grandchildren, Casey Jones (Stephanie), Jarrett Henderson and Heather Murray Wells; his great grandchildren, Grace and Noah Jones; and his sister-in-law Bessie Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scotts Hill Baptist Church or Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lacy's memory.
