With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James William Harris of Hampstead, North Carolina, born in Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Jones Harris and James T. Harris, Jr.. He is survived by: his son James William Harris Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sherri Harris; his grandsons, Andrew James Harris and Joseph Jackson Harris of Lillington, NC; his sister Betty Carter; his brother-in-law Ernest of Hamlet, NC; his niece Renee Grzybowski of Hamlet, NC; his sons, Alex (Melissa) and Eric; his niece Annette Peck (Phillip) of High Point, NC; his great-niece Savannah; and also Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to William "Bill" Harris SSA Scholarship Endowment at UNCW.
