She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Hines and Clifton Hines; her husband Cecil Harvey Carter Sr.; and her brothers, Garland Hines, William Earl Hines, L. D. Hines, Marshall Lee Hines, Oscar Hines and Marvin Hines.
She is survived by: her sons, Cecil Harvey Carter Jr. and Timothy Carter; her daughter-in-law Sandy Carter; her granddaughter Brooke Carter; and her siblings-in-law, Joe Carter and Joyce of Hampstead. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, even great-great-nieces and nephews.
