He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Batts and Bessie Midgette Batts; and his wife Lucille Lahoda Batts. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Cheryl Edens (Steve) of Hampstead, Richard S. Batts (Carol) of Scotts Hill and Peggy Ellen Yopp (Billy) of Hampstead; and his grandchildren, Suzanne, Rodney, Adam, Jonathan, Ashley, Jared, Tyler, Brenna and Trey. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
