Elizabeth Barnes Sappenfield Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2021, at the age of 73, Elizabeth Barnes Sappenfield (Hampstead, North Carolina), born in Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Edward Barnes and Jessie Joey Anderson Barnes. She is survived by: her husband Gary; her children, Gary Barnes Sappenfield (Ruth) and Gray S. Moulton; her granddaughter Isobella A. Moulton of Greensboro, NC; her brothers, David A. Barnes (Dianne) of Hampstead, NC and Gilbert A. Barnes (Nora) of Henderson, NC; and her sister-in-law Carolyn S. Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a memorial service will be held on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested all memorials be made to the P.E.O.'s North Carolina Cottey College Scholarship Fund. (Link is listed below and available).
