He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C Stophel, Sr. and Sarah Hayes; his wife Barbara Byrd Stophel; his son Chuck Stophel; and his brother Michael Stophel.
He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Stophel Garrett-Knight (K. C.); his siblings, Philip Stophel (Faye), Cathy Worrell and Lyman; and his sister-in-law Linda Byrd. He is also survived by six grandchildren whom he loved dearly, 3 great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
