Burnie Ray Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Burnie Ray Jr. of Hampstead, North Carolina, born in Timmonsville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2025 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Ray and Geraldine Ray; and his brother David Ray. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Crystal Borrelli (Chris) and Lauren Ray Sanborn (Dustin); his granddaughters, Madison Beckwith, Caroline Borrelli and Morgan Borrelli; and his brother John Ray (Skeeter).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hampstead Chapel (17730 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Andrews Mortuary (17730 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Dementia Alliance of North Carolina.
