He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Patrick and Willie Frances Strickland Peele; and his siblings, Samuel Patrick Peele, Jr., Louise Peele Garris, Lois Peele Snell and Mary Frances Peele Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Brumbles Peele of Hamlet; his daughters, Pam Peele Brogdon (Jim) of Pinopolis, SC and Kim Peele Newton (Steve); his grandchildren, Meredith Gallagher (Ryan), Ashleigh Brogdon Rury (Jeremy), James E. Brogdon, III (Elizabeth), Steven C. Newton, II (Stacy) and Kathryn Newton Heustess (Kyle); and his brother-in-law Rhyne Garris.
