With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Kenneth Burnett of Hamlet, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2025 at the age of 84. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jay Burnett and Ruth Green Burnett; his daughters, Brenda Brent (Colin) of Arizona and Audrey Stevenson (Drew) of Cary; his stepchildren, Jim Haley (Ricki) of Rockingham and Mary Stewart Haley of Rockingham; his sister Betty Shuler (LD) of Bryson City, NC; his grandchildren, Will Stevenson, Elinor Stevenson, Josh Haley (Kayla), Olivia Harrell (JP), Jackson Haley, Jeffrey Haley and Jared Haley; and his great grandchild Karsyn Claire Haley.
