He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Love Jr. (Carol) and Rosa Strickland Love. He is survived by: his children, Robert Eugene Love Jr. (Karrie) of Matthews, Sandra Altier (Bob) of New Lexington, OH, Sheryl Love of Belmont and James Christopher Love of Charlotte; his siblings, Dwight Love of Taylorsville and Sue Ruple (Marshall) of Indian Trail; his nephew Brian Love of Monroe; and his brothers, Charles Love and Earl Love. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
