With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rebecca Helms Evans (Hamlet, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Helms and Celia McLean Helms; her husband Gil Evans; her sister Hazel Livingston; and her friend Alice Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Kim, Richard Holmes, Brian Evans and Bert Evans; her grandchildren, Ashton, Shane Wood, Cameron, Jon Ricks, Cortney, Nick Webb, Reid Holmes, Emily Wanek, Campbell, Landon Evans, Caleb and Dylan Evans; her great grandchildren, Lennyn, Ryleigh Ricks and Mason Webb; and her brothers, Larry (Gail Helms), Wayne (Sherry Helms) and Andy (Teresa Helms).
