Maxine Gardner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Gardner of Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Malcolm Fields and Shirley Stone Fields; and her siblings, Sandra English, Richard Fields, Steven Fields and Deena Spaulding.
She is survived by: her close friend Ringo; her husband David A. Gardner; her children, Rodney Locklear (Katrina) of Alabama and Angela L. Hodges (Chris) of Hamlet; and her siblings, Jimmy Fields of Laurinburg, Jeffrey "Stoney" Fields (Marie) of Laurel Hill and Deborah "Debbie" Easterling of Wilmington. She is also survived by grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving extended family.
Memorial donations are requested to be given to Richmond County Hospice Inc., 1119 US Hwy 1 North, Rockingham, NC 28379.
